Project Overview

Over the Garden Wall, created by Patrick McHale, is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. I wanted to design a themed attraction, specifically a dark ride, based off of the episodes of the show. I was working on this during my Fall 2022 quarter at SCAD, as a personal project. I was taking a Themed Entertainment Design class during that time and decided to use the same exterior building plan that the class was using, which is a building in Sochi Park.

My Role

I am the architect and concept designer for this personal project. I conceptualized the idea of making the cartoon, Over the Garden Wall, a themed attraction. I designed the queue line and dark ride layouts. I also designed the marquee and entrance of the ride. I kept the elements of the show in mind as I designed this attraction.
